Evaluation/summary

This summary is divided into sections of service, action and creativity.

Service: I did a number of different projects for service. Some were rather minor, like helping handing out candy at the day care and being an ambassador. These projects were not planned by be in the first place, and therefore I had not an 'underlying thought' with it. I was happy to help though, as I enjoy doing so.

Longer service projects, for example making a short film and knitting for sending away clothes had been planned in advance. The film has been used more than I had planned which is a good thing. It was meant to be shown at our class' CAS-show, but was also shown at for example Öppet hus at the school. I have made film before, but not one like this, so it definitely helped me improve my film making skills. About the knitting... I have now realised I should have done something else. My knitting skills are not very good, but I had hoped to improve these. Since the time between the times I knitted were rather long however I did not improve the slightest. Therefore it took too long, and the clothes me and Sofia sent away did not include anything I had knitted. (I will continue this project and give away the things later though.) What I could have done different is to have planned better or perhaps choose another way of producing clothes.

Action: I have  been jogging, swimming and on some occasions skiing, but the greatest and best-working part of my action project has been the cycling. Although my planning has not been that good (my greatest weakness I have realised during CAS), I have succeeded in cycling on a regular basis in the summer/autumn/spring - only sometimes in winter. I noticed that this has been good not only for my physical health but also for my mental well-being. When I exercise regularly I have been feeling happier, which is great.

Creativity: I have tried to integrate the service-part as much as possible in my creativity by thinking 'sustainability' and making all 'art' with as much recycled things as possible. For example I have made pictures out of old cardboard pieces and candy paper. The idea is perhaps better than the actual result, as I have use many non-recyclable elements such as glue, which is not very good for the environment.

Furthermore I have writing poetry and a short story. I have developed my writing technique when it comes to poetry and also written my first English poems - which I thought I'd never do. Writing poetry also works as a help of getting to know yourself better. Also, I have become better when it comes to planning what to write. Before I never planned, but now sometimes before I write a poem I can plan structure and things like that, which helps me produce 'better' poems.

Overall, what could have been done better is planning. I am not a planning sort of person and I realise I need to practise that. There has been some improvement, but not enough.
